The MRF have alerted international observers and institutions to undertake a review of the actions of the interim government and the Ministry of Interior in particular. Such actions have been presented under the guise of "countering crimes against the voting rights of citizens related to the sale and purchase of votes". Notifications have been sent to the OSCE mission in Bulgaria, the PACE mission in Bulgaria for the elections, the LIBE Commission of the European Parliament, and NGOs engaged with the European Shield for Democracy. Alerts were also sent to the Legal Committee of the US Congress which in February published a Report on the unlawful interference of the EC in elections in EU member states and the United States, as well as to partner organisations from Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland.
They indicate a number of violations, such as abuse of power and abuse of office, unlawful searches and seizures, detention and coercion, psychological pressure and intimidation.
Systematic interrogation is carried out on the basis of anonymous and unproven reports. The claims of legitimate voter "lists" have been provided by sources represented as media. These "sources" are closely tied to other participants in the elections such as the PP-DB, giving grounds to question both the objectivity, impartiality and responsibility of the bodies of the Ministry of Interior. This clearly raises the need verify their commitment to upholding the results of parties to which they are affiliated.
The MRF points to specific cases affecting over 150 victims of the illegal activity of the Ministry of Interior.
Apart from this, nearly 40 complaints ahve been submitted to the Bulgarian judicial institutions by affected victims.
