There is not a single Communist State Security Agent in the MRF list of parliamentary candidates. This was confirmed by Decision No.3-69/07.04.2026 of the Commission for Files which announced the names of agents from the former Communist State Security Services and the Bulgarian National Army Intelligence Services in the lists of parliamentary candidates for the 52nd National Assembly.
In this way the leader of the MRF, Delyan Peevski, made good his promise that the MRF will be purged of agents from the Communist State Security Service.
“A shameful page has now been closed and the umbilical cord of the MRF and the Communist secret services has been once and forever severed.”
“MRF without SSS! This is the New Beginning!”
These were the words of the leader, Delyan Peevski, who has robustly and firmly upheld his commitment to honesty and transparency with the electorate and the structure of the party. Agents with thick files of Communist secrets, and persons dependent on and linked to the SSS will cast no shadow over the MRF.
