Procedural comment by Hamid Hamid, Deputy Chairperson of the Parliamentary Group of the Movement for Rights and Freedom with regard to the conduct of the National Assembly.
Thank you, Madam Chairperson. First of all, I would like to congratulate you that for the first time you have made a timid attempt to intervene in the case of yet another provocation from this parliamentary rostrum. I would like to encourage you to intervene a little more categorically and to interrupt every attempt at speculation, thespreading of hatred, and attempts to undermine the relations between good neighbours.
Turkiye is one of the closest neighbours of the Republic of Bulgaria. The Republic of Bulgaria maintains a policy of good understanding and peace with all its neighbours. Apart from Turkiye being Bulgaria’s partner in NATO and a generator of peace and stability in the entire region, Turkiye as an economic partner enables Bulgaria to make good use of its opportunities.
Investments from Turkiye and all Bulgaria’s neighbours are very welcome in Bulgaria. However, in order for there to be investments, colleagues, there has to be good infrastructure. We all know what the highways in Turkiye are like. We also want to travel on such highways. So, colleagues, there will be investments from Turkiye.
And the fact that you are spreading such speculations or not, won’t stop you. Thank you.
